Trustee Meetings 2023
GD suggested that given there is predicted to be a lot of hall related activity around the repair / renovation project in 2023, that the committee meet once a month through 2023. Suggested that this be on Thursdays at 7.30pm. No dates were confirmed.
Creetown Initiative
Julian Watson has been in touch with GD to ask for feedback on the business plan they had submitted. GD is waiting for decision by committee on next steps before going back to him.
Rob Wells has reviewed the Business Plan draft submitted to us by Creetown Initiative. Rob’s notes were discussed. Amongst points he raised were that potential partners for the hall were identified but not engaged with, and that there was detail missing on the Business Plan / financial model. Overall that there is still work to be done on the Business Plan.
Discussed potential of asking Rob to help us further, to get the Business Plan completed. ML offered to help write up the information alongside others. GD suggested a small group meet to discuss and try to move the content of the Business Plan Forward and that we work on this as a starting point. Agreed that GD, LA and ML would meet the following week to discuss. Date of Monday 5th December, 11am – 2pm proposed.
LA suggested that she could speak to Catherine Francis at South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE), to share the Business Plan with them and seek their advice.
Christmas Meet Up
All trustees invited to meet on Friday 9th December at Nith Hotel bar for pre-Christmas drinks.
Lunch / Warm Up Days at Hall
ML suggested trialling opening the lunch for a couple of hours every Tuesday morning, as some other halls in the area have been doing. Suggested time of 10am – 12 noon. All present agreed this would be a good idea and that happy for ML to go ahead on Tuesday in December as a test run.
